Bio:
Janisse Ray is a naturalist and activist whose writing explores the borderland of nature and culture. An inductee into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame, she is the author of two poetry collections, several books of nonfiction, including Ecology of a Cracker Childhood, which won the American Book Award, and a novel, The Woods of Fannin County. She lives on an organic farm in Tatnall County.
