Melisa Cahnmann-Taylor, author of Imperfect Tense (poems), four education books, and numerous articles and essays, is the recipient of awards from Fulbright, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Beckman Award for Professors Who Inspire. She is professor of language and literacy education at the University of Georgia.
